There are two versions of Campaign Monitor: agency, and direct. While the majority of Campaign Monitor's features are available to both, there are distinct differences between the two. If you find you need the features of one interface over the other, it's possible to switch between the two.

Differences between versions

Agency accounts:

• Are suited to creative agencies, resellers, and organizations that need separate sub-accounts for multiple departments or teams.
• Have multiple sub-accounts, called clients, which can be treated as white-label customers. Users can be added to only have access to specific clients.
• Can be rebranded.
• Can mark up prices for clients.
• Can send for clients, or alternatively, set clients up to send for themselves.

Direct accounts:

• Are suited to small businesses or individuals who are sending for themselves.
• Do not have clients, and so have a simpler interface.

How to tell which version you have

You can tell which version of Campaign Monitor you have by looking at the top navigation.

Agency

The agency version of Campaign Monitor:

• Always has "Clients" visible in the top navigation.
• Can have a custom color for its top navigation menu.
• Has a company name or logo at the top left.
• Has "Manage clients" in the profile menu.

Direct

The direct version of Campaign Monitor:

• Always has a purple Campaign Monitor logo at the top left.
• Always has a dark purple highlight color for its top navigation menu.
• Has "Manage team" in the profile menu.

Switch to direct

To switch to the direct version from agency, you must have only one client in your account, with no markup applied, and be paying on the client's behalf.

To switch to direct:

1. Click your profile image at the top right, then click Account settings.
2. In the "Account details" section, click Switch to non-agency version.
3. Click Switch to this version.

Switch to agency

To switch to the agency version from direct:

1. Click your profile image at the top right, then click Account settings.
2. Click Switch to agency version.
3. Click Switch to this version.
