Email workspace creates an editable campaign draft from a short brief. Tell it the goal of your campaign and, optionally, ask it to generate a hero image. Email workspace writes the content and subject line, then builds an on-brand email for you to review and edit.
Email workspace uses your brand settings, including your fonts (or the closest match), logo, colors, and business context. You can view and manage these details in Brand hub. If you haven't set up your brand, email workspace prompts you to add it as you go.
Create a campaign with email workspace
On the Campaigns page, select Create a campaign, then select Email workspace from the menu. Email workspace guides you through three steps to create a campaign draft.
Step 1: Start with a brief
Tell email workspace what you want to send. Only the campaign goal is required, so you can give as much or as little detail as you like:
- What is your website URL? If you've already set up your brand, this is prefilled. You can change it, but changing it here also updates your brand in Brand hub.
- Describe the goal of your campaign (required). For example, "drive up sales and promote our gift cards".
- Add a call to action. For example, "Buy now", with a link.
- What should we include or avoid? For example, "create a sense of urgency but avoid making it feel too pushy".
Choose Continue.
Step 2: Generate a hero image
Optionally generate a hero image for your campaign. To move on without one, choose Skip.
- Describe the image you want to create. For example, "a photograph of our vacuum on a clean white background, natural light".
- Add a text overlay (optional). For example, "20% off while stocks last".
- Select a style preference and any reference images. Choose a style, such as photographic, product close-up, hand-drawn illustration, or lifestyle scene, and select any reference images. Only use images you have the legal right to use.
Choose Continue, or Back to return to your brief.
Step 3: Generate your campaign
Email workspace analyzes your brief, adds your brand assets, generates content, writes a subject line, builds your email, and runs final checks.
This takes a moment. You don't have to wait. Choose Notify me when ready and keep working, and we'll let you know when your campaign draft is ready. You can also find it in your campaign drafts after email workspace finishes.
Review and edit
When it's ready, you'll see your campaign draft with its subject line and preview, matched to your brand. From here you can:
- Choose Edit campaign to open it in the builder, make any changes, and prepare to send.
- Choose Start again to run email workspace from a new brief.
Email workspace gives you a starting point. Always review and edit your campaign before sending.
Availability
Email workspace is available to eligible Campaign Monitor customers. Availability and usage limits depend on your account type and plan.
Important note about AI-generated content
Campaign material generated with AI may contain mistakes. The material aims to preserve your brand identity, but as with any AI-generated content, it can occasionally get things wrong.
Always review all content before sending to ensure the content reads naturally and correctly represents your brand, tone, and intent.
