You can A/B test subscribe forms created with Campaign Monitor for WordPress to see which gets the better response. You can also set different locations for each form type to see where on your site a user is more likely to respond.
Before you start
Some notes on form behavior to help with your tests:
- Both forms need to be individually enabled for the A/B test to work.
- A winner is not automatically selected. When you have collected enough statistics to select a winner, the A/B test and the losing form must be deleted manually.
Test a signup form
To create an A/B test for a signup form:
- Log into your WordPress dashboard and create the two signup forms that will be included in the test.
- Click Campaign Monitor in the left sidebar, then select A/B Testing. On the next page you will see an overview of any existing A/B tests.
- Click the Create new test button.
- On the next page, give the A/B test a title, then select the two forms that will be included in the test, and what page the test will be run on.
- Click Save Changes.
- The next page will show you statistics for each form in the test.
To delete an A/B test, click Campaign Monitor in the left sidebar, then select A/B Testing. Hover your mouse cursor over an A/B test, then select Trash.
